If you're looking to get ahead of the game of this year's musical trends, TikTok has just released the definitive list of the summer's most impactful tracks. These are the songs that have really moved on the platform, creating content and setting the tone for the season.

According to TikTok, "From country hits to eighties-inspired dance tracks, and performances that set the stage for rising stars across K-pop, hip-hop, Afrobeats, and more—the summer's biggest moments have truly exploded on TikTok."

The list includes both the U.S. and global top tracks; it definitely puts on display the shared hits but allows viewers to see how each region has its own unique vibe in musical trends.

At the top of the U.S. chart is Tommy Richman's "MILLION DOLLAR BABY," which claimed the third spot on the global chart. The record has been critically acclaimed due to its throwback early 2000's sound and vocals, and it gained more popularity on TikTok through a dance trend taking over the globe.

"I'm really blessed about what's happened this year," Tommy Richman said with an attitude of thankfulness. "I did this song with all my friends, and we're so excited that our flowers were given from this creation; it took on a life of its own that I could have never imagined. I'm thankful for everyone that's listening."

Meanwhile, Tinashe's "Nasty" reached two on both the U.S. and worldwide charts. She said thank you, adding, "To all my amazing fans who made 'Nasty' the #1 Song of the Summer in the UK and #2 globally, thank you so much! It's been so fun and incredible to watch all the videos you have been making on TikTok. I love them all! I'm so grateful for your continued support, and I hope that all of you will enjoy making more content to the rest of my album "Quantum Baby".

The global Songs of the Summer were topped off with Latin track "Gata Only," done by the Chilean duo FloyyMenor and Cris MJ. The song has generated over 15 million TikTok creations, which means a huge win, since it marks the first time Chilean artists are tracked on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart since 1999.

FloyyMenor was beside himself with pride: "I'm very happy about everything that is done with 'Gata Only'. I knew right from the start that this song was a hit worldwide, and its success fills me with pride. I am deeply grateful to the TikTok community for their role in taking the song to the world.".

These tracks epitomize the increasing role of TikTok in driving music trends and breaking new talent onto the international scene.

How to Make Your Money Work For You With Music Catalogs

As we've seen, a boost on TikTok can have huge benefits for artists careers, entire catalogs, and therefore revenue and earnings as well. If you are looking for one of the best passive income ideas to grow your wealth look no further than music royalty investing. On Royalty Exchange, fans and investors have the opportunity to share in the revenue generated from some of the biggest artists in the world.

Take Tinashe's vast music catalog for example. A percentage of the songwriting and producer royalties for Tinashe's songs such as "Me So Bad" and "Here It Comes" have sold on the platform in the past few years. The buyers have been receiving quarterly revenue payments since acquiring the assets. With streaming consumption still increasing across the globe, now is a great time to start investing in music catalogs where passive income is a luxury. The great thing about investing in music royalties is that their performance is completely independent of macroeconomic conditions and financial markets. So regardless of what the stock market or other markets are doing, people are always consuming music.

Take this Kendrick Lamar listing for instance, another artist who had a top 10 song on TikTok this summer. This catalog features hit songs from Kendrick's debut album like "M.A.A.D. City" and classics from the late Nipsey Hussle like "Double Up". The investor acquired this catalog in July 2019 for $162,000 and has already collected $170,283 in publishing royalties in just over 5 years. The investor of this catalog can hold onto the songs and earn for their lifetime or even resell it after some time to another investor!  Investors are finding music royalties to be one of the best passive income investments. If you are looking for one of the best passive income ideas, look no further than music royalty investing.
