In a recent Forbes interview, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre discussed their upcoming collaborative album Missionary, marking their first joint project in over 30 years. The highly anticipated album, set to release in December, will coincide with the anniversary of Snoop’s debut album Doggystyle. Additionally, Forbes reported that Snoop is in talks to embark on a 2025 tour in support of the album.
Dr. Dre expressed high expectations for Missionary, calling it some of the best work he has produced. “This album is going to give [Snoop] something new to perform onstage, and that was a major consideration while I was producing this record,” Dre noted. Snoop echoed Dre’s sentiments, stating, "Music is my foundation. It’s the root of who I am, and great music is timeless."
Beyond music, both artists have had a busy year promoting their new alcoholic beverage, Gin & Juice, which officially launched after Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas. They also delivered a standout performance during the closing ceremony of the Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles, where the 2028 Olympics will be held.
While the official release date for Missionary and confirmation of the tour are still pending, Snoop Dogg will remain active in the entertainment world by joining the new season of NBC's The Voice.
