Iconic singer Janet Jackson is close to finalizing a deal with Resorts World for a short residency, which could start as early as this December and culminate in an extra-special New Year's Eve performance to usher in 2025. According to the sources, Jackson chose the Vegas residency over London so she will get better financial terms here in the U.S.

She is going back to Las Vegas with this residency, in support of her previous super-successful "Metamorphosis" residency at the Park MGM in 2019, which grossed approximately $13 million over 18 dates and was at that time among the highest-grossing residencies on the Vegas Strip.

Residency Timing and Tour Details

Jackson's Las Vegas residency will start immediately after she wraps up her "Together Again" tour. The tour began in April in Florida and is running through October in Glasgow, Scotland. She completed the North American leg of the tour at the end of last month and will start the European leg this September.

Tribute to Michael Jackson

Janet Jackson performs her brother's late duet with her, "Scream," which was released in 1995. She says that by performing this song, it brings his spirit closer to her and takes her back emotionally with memories of their bond.

"Listening to him every night, seeing him, remembering us, is deeply emotional," Jackson told the BBC last month. "I relive that whole journey, listening to him sing it and remembering what he was going through at that time. And just me being his little sister, always by his side, and being that support system. That's always been my role."

Investing In Janet Jackson Songs

If you're a huge fan of Janet Jackson or just want to get started with music royalty investing, now you can do so on Royalty Exchange. On Royalty Exchange you can sign up as an investor and search through thousands of music catalog listings that include producer and songwriter royalties to some of the biggest songs of the past few decades.

Take this Janet asset listing for instance. The buyer paid $55.1k back in June, 2022 to acquire the lifetime rights of future earnings from the songwriter's cut of royalties from "Let's Wait Awhile". While they've held the catalog they've already collected $10.2k in earnings. That's a total yield of 18.5% already in just over 2 years. The great thing about investing in music catalogs is that their performance is independent of financial markets as people are always consuming music. One great thing about this catalog in particular is that it earns money from live performances so any time Janet plays the song as a show, the investor is earning money from it!
