On September 3, Young Money and Live Nation unveiled the lineup for Lil Weezyana Fest 2024, featuring an epic reunion of the iconic rap group, the Hot Boys. The event was tagged as "Lil Wayne presents a Hot Boys Reunion" on a promotional flyer, which promises appearances from the group members including Juvenile, B.G. and Turk, complemented with a special DJ set from Mannie Fresh. The bill is rounded out by New Orleans rapper Rob49. The highly-anticipated festival is set for Nov. 2 at the Smoothie King Center, just across the street from where the Hot Boys tried their reunion back in June.
Earlier in the year, Birdman announced a Cash Money reunion at Essence Fest, celebrating the iconic label's 30th anniversary. Fans were more than ready to finally witness the entire Hot Boys unit of Lil Wayne, Juvenile, B.G., and Mannie Fresh performing classics such as "Bling Bling" and Juvenile's "Back That Azz Up" on stage for the first time in years. But that never panned out; instead, Lil Wayne performed alone, which further fueled rumors and severely disappointed fans.
Speculation over Wayne's absence from the group set centered on Turk being left out of the Cash Money reunion. Turk would later air his grievances over the matter, subsequent to B.G. seeming to indicate that Turk was the reason Turk wasn't involved.
Several months later, it would seem any internal differences have been worked out, and all founding members are now ready to make a correct reunion for Lil Weezyana Fest. The forthcoming event promises to be one full of nostalgia, as this is what the fans have always wanted to see in this comeback of original Hot Boys on stage once again.
Presale tickets for Lil Weezyana Fest 2024 are available now.
