This milestone surpasses the pace of his previous album, Music To Be Murdered By, which took 10 weeks to achieve the same number of streams. Enhanced promotional efforts and Spotify's growing audience have contributed to this success, but the album's strong debut as the leading rap project of the year underscores Eminem’s enduring appeal and dominance in the music industry.

Such success for The Death of Slim Shady would have only occurred as a result of a clever promotional campaign and the steady increase in Spotify's user base. This body of work, however, testifies to Eminem's unwavering influence for his craft in staying his audiences mesmerized and engaged, even in a region plagued by new talent.

Eminem's latest album is one of the best works not just in the rap genre but of all music. Since its release, it has surely proved to be the number one rap album of the year and the fourth most successful album overall. 800 million streams in such a short period of time equates to an estimated amount of $2.4 million to $4 million from Spotify itself only and only from sound recording royalties specifically.

This just goes to show how much of a cash king streaming has become over the course of the past decade. Now you can even own a piece of Eminem's music through Royalty Exchange.
