This year, the musical acts will be opened by indie band Worry Club, Grammy-winner husband-and-wife duo 123 Andrés, and trance and deep house artist Camden Cox. Closing out the final acts will be headliners including Megan Thee Stallion, Hozier, SZA, Stray Kids, The Killers, Future x Metro Boomin, Blink 182, and Melanie Martinez.

1) Megan thee Stallion
Fresh from her first-ever headlining tour, Hot Girl Summer Tour, the first solo female rapper to debut atop the Billboard Global 200 chart will then head to Chicago for Lollapalooza. She’s a last-minute replacement after Tyler, the Creator canceled his spot for the event.
Her third studio album, “Megan,” was released in June, and is first to be released under her Hot Girl Productions, the independent music and entertainment company which she founded. Prior to its release, the Texas native came out with three singles: "Cobra", "Boa" and “Hiss," which she managed to snag a US Billboard Hot 100 number-one single.

It's been over half a decade since she released CTRL, and five-time Grammy-nominated SZA still stands supreme. She has had the second-longest-charting R&B album by a female artist on the Billboard 200, and in 2017, she followed this up with collaborations that included Kendrick Lamar, Maroon 5, Cardi B, Justin Timberlake, Ty Dolla Sign, and Doja Cat.
In 2022, she released her sophomore album, "SOS," that spent seven straight weeks at number one on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. Of the five singles within the top ten of the US Billboard Hot 100, only "Kill Bill" managed to reach number one, as it did on the Billboard Global 200.
Her third studio album, “Lana” is set to be released this year. When asked about the status of her LP, she replied, “You got to let it form itself because I’m not really forming anything. I’m just kind of here while energy is forming and I’m just trying to allow it to do what it needs to do, and my voice just follows whatever the frequency is.”

But only this year, the two released their first studio album, "We Don't Trust You," which turned out to be both commercially and critically successful.
The song "Like That" reached the top on the US Billboard Hot 100. This is the third single by Future and the first one by Metro to be at number one. The album was also at the top of the US Billboard 200 and set a record for the biggest opening week in 2024.

4) Skrillex
American DJ, record producer, and singer Skrillex is one of the most gigantic successes in electronic dance music history with nine Grammy awards, and millions are sold out of records. His debut album, "Recess", was placed on the BBC's 50 Best Albums of 2014.
In 2023 alone, he dropped two albums: "Quest for Fire" and "Don't Get Too Close", which were released a day apart from each other. The former places 69th in Rolling Stone's 100 Best Albums of 2023, whereas the latter reached number 8 on the US Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart by Billboard.
He'll play the Perry's stage on August 3rd at 8:15 p.m.

In 2015, she was signed on to Atlantic Records and worked with music producer Dan Nigro after five years. Roan released "Pink Pony Club", which was eventually featured on her 2023 album, "The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess."
In 2024, she opened for Olivia Rodrigo's Guts World Tour that renewed the public interest towards her. She then released "Good Luck, Babe!" which made it to number 77 on the Billboard Hot 100 and streamed 7 million in its first week. Arguably the hottest up and coming artist of 2024, she's a can't miss this weekend.
Roan is known for incorporating drag on her concerts and is a huge supporter of LGBTQ+ rights.

6) Olivia Dean
She was 2023 BBC Music Introducing Artist of the Year. For her first studio album, "Messy," released in the same year, Olivia Dean received a Mercury Prize nomination. "I found out about the nomination on my best friend's birthday,' she says. She'd returned from a day of zen at Hackney Wick community sauna. I was lying in my bed and my manager called me and I just burst into tears. Then I ran upstairs to my friend and I was just crying," she told TimeOut about after getting shortlisted.
After Lollapalooza, she will then head to Canada, Japan, Portugal, Spain and France before the month ends.

7) BigXThaplug
The single "Texas" off Dallas rapper Bigxthaplug's debut album, "Amar," was certified Gold by the RIAA this year. His other hit, "Mmhmm," initially debuted at 93 on the Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at number 65. It samples the "And the Beat Goes On," by the Whispers that released it in 1979.
"It's cool to see people other than the people in my state messing with me. But other than that, everything really just the same," he said when asked about his stardom in the rap scene.

8) Laufey
There's no one hotter right now, ruling the jazz charts than Icelandic singer Laufey. Her debut album, "Everything I Know About Love," was released in 2022. It contains 13 tracks, while the de luxe edition has three bonus songs.
All tracks in the album were penned by the singer together with her co-writers, except for her cover of Frank Loesser's 1950 hit, "I've Never Been in Love Before.".
She told Variety, "My first album is all about the very first experience, which came to me quite late in life. I was so focused on school and college applications and auditions that I just didn't even think about relationships or love." The album reached number 3 in both the Billboard US Jazz Albums and US Traditional Jazz Albums charts. "So, it all kind of started when I was like 20 or 21, that's when I started writing my first album, 'Everything I Know About Love.'"

9) Sexyy Red
Billboard, in their 2024 feature on her, describes her raps thus: "[They] aren't drenched in metaphors and punchlines; her lyrics sound as if she's saying the very first thing that pops into her head — which is exactly the case." Even Complex calls her a marketing genius. Indeed, there was no other artist like Sexyy Red, having such an unusual style and extraordinary skills.
This St. Louis rapper, age 25, has taken over the music scene with style and flair in an unapologetically loud and funny way. She enthralls the listener with catchy hooks and raunchy lyrics that strangely feel out of place in Southern rap.
Her hit single "Pound Town"—which was remixed featuring Nicki Minaj—garnered millions of streams. From viral songs such as "SkeeYee" to high energy performances alongside hip-hop legends like Drake and Travis Scott, there is always new content for her fans.

10) Megan Moroney
Megan Moroney is just the gem that county music needs. Only 26, this young lady from Douglasville, Georgia, has quickly made a name for herself in country music circles with the breakout single "Tennessee Orange," which debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2022 and paved her way in a very successful debut album, "Lucky," released in 2023.
Speaking on the popularity of her song on Tiktok, she told Variety, "I think actually what's the most interesting part about 'Tennessee Orange' blowing up on TikTok is that they would only use the first part of the chorus… And no one was including the actual "Tennessee Orange" part; they were connecting with the first part of the song without even including the hook of the song.". And I think that's why so many people were able to make it their own — because when they discovered it, it wasn't about football. It just made them think of someone they care about."
The album won critical acclaim and earned her a spot in the top 40 on the Billboard 200.
Her sophomore album, "Am I Okay?", which came out this year, really cements her versatility and knack for relatability with tracks like "No Caller ID" and the title track, a peppy introspection. "In theory, there was supposed to be a lot of pressure on the album, but because I was so busy touring, it didn't happen that way," she says. "I just kept writing songs about my life and songs that I liked. "One day I looked down and I had a whole album."

11) Malcolm Todd
He's been dubbed the new face of alternative R&B and indie music – and rightfully so. Malcolm Todd is an up-and-coming star from Los Angeles who has been making a stir within the indie/alternative scene since beginning his music career in 2022.
His breakout single, "Art House," going viral on TikTok, gained millions of listeners. With hits like "Roommates" and tracks from his album "Sweet Boy Pt. 1," including "4Me 4Me," Todd doesn't seem to stop.
Not too long ago, he announced his first North American tour called Sweet Boy, which is already sold out.
On August 2nd, Malcolm will bring his high energy to Grant Park and the Bacardí stage at 4:00 p.m. and later perform an aftershow at Reggie's Rock Club at 11 p.m.
12) Tate McRae
This Canadian singer-songwriter, dancer, and actress was getting famous right after her breakthrough as the first Canadian finalist on the dance competition show "So You Think You Can Dance" when she was just 13. She got signed to RCA Records in 2019 and released her first EP, All the Things I Never Said, in 2020.
Her single "You Broke Me First" had become an international sensation, peaking at No. 17 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Her second EP, "Too Young to Be Sad," released in 2021, became the most streamed female EP on Spotify that year.
Her debut album "I Used to Think I Could Fly" received critical acclaim. Her single "Greedy" reached number one on the Canadian Hot 100 and number three on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2023. She shared with Vogue in an interview, "I wrote 'Greedy' back in January, and then I just kept writing hundreds of songs, and I was like, I can't find the single.". I just kept coming back to it, I think, because I was most scared of that song—just the production and how pop it was, and the fact that I'd never done a record that upbeat before. And then I remember Ryan [Tedder] was like, 'If a song makes you nervous, that's a good thing.' So I thought, okay, I can either do something that's safe and that I'm used to, or I can take a bit of a risk and really push myself to the next level."

13) Four Tet
He's been called the world's unlikeliest superstar DJ. Electronic musician Kieran Hebden, better known by his professional name of Four Tet, rose to prominence first with the post-rock band Fridge. Subsequently, he followed this up with successful solo projects in "Rounds," "Everything Ecstatic," and "There Is Love in You," all very well-received albums.
"DJing every month at Plastic People made me change the album because of how the tracks worked in the club. Also, those dance sounds creep into you; it wasn't actually a conscious thing, but yes, all the rhythms definitely were," he mentioned in relation to the album.
Four Tet has also remixed more than one hundred tracks, collaborated with jazz drummer Steve Reid, and artists Burial and Thom Yorke, produced albums for Sunburned Hand of the Man and Omar Souleyman, arranged Madlib's Sound Ancestors. Most recently, he released the album "Three" in 2024, which features his tracks such as "Loved" and "Daydream Repeat."

14) Josiah and the Bonnevilles
Well, together, Josiah Leming, Stephen Johnson, and Josh Nyback, under the banner of Josiah and the Bonnevilles, have become a force to reckon with in the music circuits. The inspiration behind their name was "Actually the name of an old Pontiac, my car, me and Josh used to drive around the desert in it…. " – Leming elaborated. We were digging around, well, for a band name, and I didn't want to go under my name anymore. I really wanted it to be a band effort; the guys add a lot. So, we came up with this addition of "The Bonnevilles," so the car kinda lives on through that.
Leming, who established the band all the way back in 2014, was focused on authenticity in his music. Now, as he looks back on his journey, he believes in sticking to his vision of artistry, whatever that may turn out to be—regardless of mainstream expectations.

15) Nia Archives
British record producer, DJ, singer, and songwriter Nia Archives confesses that she was inspired by jungle documentaries and the women featured in them while making her music. Sick of producers around her, Nia began producing her jungle and drum-and-bass music all on her own. Moving to Hackney Wick for college and self-releasing music, she took a critical look when two EPs, "Headz Gone West" and "Forbidden Feelingz," dropped.
Her EP, 2023's "Sunrise Bang Ur Head Against the Wall," reached No. 1 on the UK Dance Albums Chart, while the album "Silence Is Loud" charted at No. 16 on the UK Albums Chart.
She has been tagged as one of the main ambassadors for the post-2020 drum and bass revival and has won several high-profile awards for her work, including the Artist of the Year at the BBC Music Introducing Awards and DJ Mag's Best Breakthrough DJ. "I am Black and I'm half-Caribbean. But I am also just a British girl," she says. "I wanted to make a quintessentially British record."Its artwork features a union flag because, says Archives, "it's punk. And I've always thought of jungle as really punk," she said.

16) Dasha
The breakout country pop star behind the Top 20 Billboard Hot 100 hit "Austin" is ready to conquer the stage. In trying to describe her song, she let out, "I'd never been to Austin when I wrote the song, and … But if you really think about it, the song's not really about the city of Austin.". It's more like the excuses this guy would make up and our relationship. And so it was, like, my moment of taking, almost, like, my pride and my strength back, being like, I'm leaving you here. Drunk washed up in Austin. Of course, it wasn't actually drunk washed up in Austin. It was drunk [and] washed up in Nashville. But Austin sounded better, so. Period."
Her album "What Happens Now?" reached as high as number 8 in the Billboard US Country this year.

17) Dominic Fike
American singer, rapper, and actor Dominic Fike has to thank SoundCloud for giving him the platform to be recognized globally. After his debut EP Don't Forget About Me, Demos (2018), Fike signed with Columbia Records, where his song "3 Nights" became a top ten hit in multiple countries. In 2022, Fike joined the cast of Euphoria for its second season, playing a drug-abusing teenager in his first major acting role.
His 2023 album, “Sunburn,” debuted at number 30 on the Billboard 200. When asked to explain the reason behind the title of his album, Fike said, “Because it tied into the whole thing of trying to bring this new audience that I gained after ‘Euphoria,’ to kind of bring them up to date on who I am as a kid and where I’m from.”

18) Two Door Cinema Club
Two Door Cinema Club, formed in 2007 in Northern Ireland, consists of Alex Trimble, Sam Halliday and Kevin Baird. Their second album, “Beacon,” debuted at number one on the Irish Albums Chart and number two on the UK Albums Chart in 2012.
Speaking about their success, Baird said to BBC, “You're sticking your head in the sand a little bit if you don't appreciate that bands have shelf lives. We've been very lucky to have done this for 12 years. We've seen a lot of bands at the pinnacle, selling out the O2 Arena, and we've seen those kinds of bands disappear. That's something we're aware of, and it allows us to keep challenging ourselves and becoming better and better, without getting too comfortable with the way things are."

19) SiR
California native and singer-songwriter SiR landed a record deal with Top Dawg Entertainment in 2018 with his second album, “November.” He followed it up with “Chasing Summer” in 2019. The first single, "Hair Down" features Kendrick Lamar. His 2024 album, “Heavy,” reached number 14 at the Billboard US R&B chart.

20) Teezo Touchdown
Teezo Touchdown signed with RCA Records and released his debut studio album, “How Do You Sleep at Night?,” in 2023, featuring guest appearances from Janelle Monáe, Fousheé, and Isaiah Rusk. Thomas' musical style is eclectic, blending hip-hop, autotune, radio pop, country music, trap beats, emo-punk, and acoustic arpeggios into unique and catchy three-minute tracks.
“Some days, I’m in a studio just digging through beats,” he laughs. “I like to say, ‘Getting beat to death’ – just going through beats and not finding anything. I won’t force it because I understand those bad songs make me appreciate the good ones,” he shared.
